I absolutely love Plato's Closet / Abilene! Especially since I have been doing business with Plato's Closet since they opened here in Abilene 7 years ago... buying and selling! I must highly commend my favorite Managers Maddie and Gigi ... and the whole staff. They all greet you when you enter the store with a "Hello" and a "Smile!" Every time! Keep up the very most awesome hard work you all do so very well! Millions and billions of stars for Plato's Closet / Abilene, and everyone I have mentioned here! And I am a 62 year old white male with a young heart and a young mentality! Age is only a number ... because you are only as old as you feel, and I feel 32, at 62!

I totally get the whole plastic bin thing and I went down the street to buy bins and pivot accordingly. However after I spent $25 at big lots on tubs (that I won’t use again), a couple came in with clothes on hangers and the worker told them “oh don’t worry about it!” when THEY saw the sign about bins. This is NOT to complain about the policy but the inconsistency in implementing it.

Not gonna lie I expected a lot more. I brought a bunch of good brand names clothes for teenagers and they took 6 things. Got $11 for it after waiting for it over 30 minutes. Very clean store and nice workers though.

They dont do the folks who bring them inventory right... They have alll these rules about what they will or won't take and then they'll give you... $.50 for your stuff. They have the audacity to be like we reallly need the items and then they rip you off or refuse what you take in because its not in brand new condition. They tried to give me $7 for a brand new pair of name brand jeans with the tags still on. They rejected loads of brand name clothes in gently used condition. They wont be wasting my time again.

I've gone there for a whole minute and have always wondered why they would never buy my clothes. Well tonight I found out why. I heard them whispering back and fourth to each other talking smack about my wife . Very unprofessional and very poor work ethics on their behalf. I will not return to their store ever again. They don't like our business or like us personally that's fine. We will take our business else where. They can deny it all they want but I heard with my own ears. I always wondered why they never bought what I brought in . And now I see what it is. I don't even want to rate them one star.

I love this store they have all sizes and a very large selection of styles and it's very well organized and sectioned prices are definitely great for high end lightly used and well cared for clothes. I highly recommend stopping in. For the most part my experience there has always been good as far as customer service goes. There was a particular girl working today that was kind of snippy and a tad on the rude side. But I brushed it off as it was almost closing and she was probably just ready to close up and leave the employees are very young and I imagine they have other things to do after work that they are eager to get to... So all that being said, I still love this store and will keep shipping there no matter what it's one of the better Plato's stores I've been to. Actually the best one I've been to as far as the customer service goes. Other locations I've visited have had some really unbecoming employees that seemed very snotty and condescending. So much so that for years I refused to step foot I'm one. But Abilene definitely is the best in class. Keep up the good work ladies !!

I was absolutely disgusted when I walked into the store today. It smelled like rancid armpits it was very very present in the entire store. I walked up to the front to let them know that there was a certain smell when you walk in and it turns out that one of the girls back there doesn't understand what hygiene is. So she walked around and sprayed the store although she was the one that was rank. She just looked disheveled and greasy and she smelled horribly I will not be returning to that store if the manager doesn't know how to get their employees to bathe and be presentable in a clothing store then I would attest that they won't know how to take care of clothing as well. If they gave you a half star rating I would give the store I have Star Plus they don't have much to choose from and they pick up rags like their stuff is really janky. As someone who's traveled across the country and been to many Plato's closets this is absolutely the worst one literally thinking about contacting corporate.

I have been very happy to find a place to shop for jeans for myself and my teenage daughters. You have the widest selection I have found. The only downside is that, like most stores, the clothes have a perfume-y smell that lingers. But a few hours hanging outside should fix that.
